Do you think computers can tap into the collective?

Do you think that eventually, computers using possibly a living brain, could tap into the subconscious collective? Creating the ultimate internet of human minds. A power most likely used to manipulate us, causing the need to have firewalls for our very own mind? Just wondering. I think its very possible.
