How to resolve sleep-pattern problems?

Now 1am, and sitting watching the TV with the nightly problem of how to get to sleep. Rarely able to fall asleep before 1am, and usually only occurs at 2am. I always wake up at about 6.30am or 7am. Obviously late afternoon I feel exhausted, but no matter what, I can't get to sleep until 1am again. Weekends I then sleep for 12/14 hours per night. I am male, early 40's, and pretty healthy. Bench pressing- How to get off the smith machine?

Ok- So I have been hitting the gym nearly everyday for about 5 years- I seem to have hit a plateau that I cannot break through- Right now I want to focus on benching- Right now I bench 225 military- and 185 incline- but both are using the smith machine- The problem is that when I try to get off the smilt machine i am only benching135 and I am wobbling all over the place to the point where it is really embarring- Is there anything I can do to work on my stabilizer muscles where I don't look like a complete idiot? Never reimbursed by landlord! Can I terminate the lease?

For the first year and and a half of living in this leased home, there was an unknown leak in the house (undergroud) that was causing our water bill to be around $100 dollars a month! There are only 3 of us in the home and we are rarely home to use much water, anyway. It took a good while (several months) for the landlord to finally make the needed repairs, and all those months I had to pay for the wasted water! Plus, the landlord never reimbursed me (either through herself or through the water department) for the money I had to spend while she took her sweet time making the repairs. Furthermore, the bill is in her name and she would never tell me when the bill was due. I'd find out only after there was a notice on my door and no water at my home! I'd have to pay the reconnection fee, a deposit and the (huge) balance of what was owed. Why should I be penalized $$$ for damage that was on her property? PS- After the fix, our water bill is about $20 - $30 bucks at the most! I LIVE IN TX

I love my family, friends, pets, sports, reading, school and am 100% atheist. My mom is a devout protestant and my dad's an atheist, but I've never believed in God either. I don't want to be a Christian because it seems like they have this intolerance to other religions and are just closed-minded. I also don't believe to instill in Christians to "fear" God. Why do I seem to store excessive static electricity?

This problem has significantly affected me, believe it or not. I always have been shock-prone, but in the last year, it has reached an intolerable level. Everywhere I go, it seems every doorknob, car handle, or surface shocks me when i first touch it! I have begun to have anxiety at store doorways and when closing my car door. I literally "plan" the initial touch. Often I will go out of my way to use my knee or elbow (or even my purse as a barrier) instead of my hand because the shocks aren't as severe--barely noticeable! Even 2 dryer sheets in every dryer load and those aerosol anti-static electricity products don't eliminate the problem. I keep 2 cans of anti-static aerosol at the barn too, because I was shocking the hell out of my poor horse when I brushed him. I actually have to spray the brushes and the horse down prior to grooming him! It doesn't work that well but at least it helps some. I got rid of all his poly and nylon bristle brushes and got brushes for him made of naural fibers and horsehair which helped a lot. Because of that, I figured I should stop wearing nylon, acrylic, and polyester clothes. I hated to drive wearing synthetic facrics because then the shirt would cling irritatingly to my back. Also, whenever my husband would affectionately rub my shoulder or back, instantly I'd get annoyed by immediate static cling and electricity! Realizing this was really creating some pretty negative quality of living issues, I went out and got several pieces of 100% cotton clothes, and for a week, I wore only cotton. The clothing change made a remarkable improvement, thankfully. Tonight, I wore a dressy blouse to a party and was miserable within 30 minutes. I could hardly wait to take off that polyester blouse. I pulled it off, crackling and zapping and wondered what the heck is up with me and all that shocking? No one I know endures so much static electricity torture! And I'm not talking about little zaps--these shocks are super strong, a very uncomfortable voltage! As far as home humidity, It's fairly humid most of the year. We have an evaporative cooler to cool the house most months of the year, and during the 2 months we turn the heater on, we kep the thermostat low. Can anyone shed some light on my plight? Why is this happening? Is there anything more can I do?

DHL delivers prescription to wrong house........?

My sister lives in Florida and is very ill. She takes many different types of medication. One of them is Vicadin and it is delivered from the pharmacy to her house by the carrier DHL. Last week they delivered her prescription to a house two streets over, doesn't even have the same address numbers as her. There is reason to believe the driver of the company knew it was a narcotic rx and delivered to this other house on person as the driver has been out "sick" since he delivered it to the wrong house. DHL has made many attempts to recoup the package but to no avail. They even gave my sister the the address it was delivered to. She has gone over and knocked on the door but no one will answer. This stuff has a street value of over $600 and my sister cannot work without. My question is will the police get involved in a case like this if DHL refuses to make a claim? Something really bad happened with my bf... help?

I was on vacation for a week with my mom and my boyfriend really missed me, I could tell.. I've been home for about 5 days now and I know we needed the time apart because before I left we were bothering eachother a little bit. Everything seemed great when I first got home, but this Saturday we got in a huge fight that lasted well into the early morning. I actually had to leave and go stay with my mom and her fiance because things got so ugly. It NEVER got that ugly before and the only thing I can attribute to it is that he recently got his wisdom teeth removed and was taking some kind of narcotic medication for the pain but he had 3 beers with his friend earlier that day. I called 911 before I left because I actually was afraid he would hurt himself. He was saying nasty things to me and it almost got very physical before I knew I had to leave or one of us would get hurt. I never thought it would get to this point and now I have no idea what to do.

Spiders in my room. now i can't get to sleep.?

I was watching a little TV before bed in my room. I saw three nearly identical spiders swinging from a long strand of web in front of my TV. I got up and turned off the light, got a broom and killed them. But now I think there was an egg sack in my room from an old desk I got recently, and I keep thinking there's got to be dozens of spiders in my room. I'm going to handle it tomorrow when i get home. I switched rooms and tried to get to sleep, but I can't. I keep feeling my skin crawl and itch and i can't close my eyes without feeling like i've got spiders on me. How often should I bathe my baby?

It sounds like your sister in law is a little obsessive. I give my daughter a bath once a day (at night). We do the whole bath, bottle, bed routine and it works very well for us. I also use the Johnson's bedtime wash and lotion and she sleeps well. Im not sure if the wash/lotion have anything to do with it but, it smells wonderful :) I don't think you're lazy at all. It's completely normal to only give your child a bath everyone other day, especially while they're so little and don't play in the dirt all day long! :) Aubree had some issues with spitting up, so that's why I started giving her a bath every night. Now that we're in that routine, Im going to keep it that way. Her skin is not dried out at all. But other babies skin may not tolerate being washed every day :)

Solar light questions anyone out there that can help?

We built a tiki hut, I would like to have a flickering single candle (to put it in a lantern) that runs off solar. I know I can buy the battery operated ones, or plug but don't want to keep buying batteries and there is no electric out in this hut. Do you know if I can buy a small solar panel from one set of lights cut it, take a flickering candle cut that cord and connect it to this solar panel to make it work/flicker? I'd say your chances are rather good. The US has a quite a shortage of good math and science teachers. Our colleges already hire MANY math, science, and engineering professors from other countries. Though if you want to teach at the college level you typically need a PhD.

1st thing is -- Buy from a quality manufacturer. Rock River Arms, and DPMS are excellent choices. Bushmasters are a good choice also... For critter hunting I suggest the a longer barrel, not the 16 or 18 inch M4 type barrels.... Get an upper receiver that either has no handle or a removable handle.... All manufacturers claim there upper receivers interchange, but be cautious. If your using a Rock River lower and want to add a Bushmaster upper I have seen cases where they didnt fit, needed a shim or required some other farting around.... Keep within the same brand when switching receivers and uppers.... Thats not to say they wont but if your new at this save yourself the grief..... Of course he's a good example. As an American, I was taught such things. He did a great many things and held his desire and loyalty for his country and people. We must keep in mind, however, Washington was from a completely different time. The world doesn't operate like it did back then, therefore we must'nt compare the 18th century to this 21st century. It was only today that the JD Wetherspoon chain announced a fall in profits of around 10% over the summer since the introduction of the smoking ban, this in despite of the initial pronouncements that business would increase on the food side of things, which actually it has relatively. The only problem is...pubs aren't restaurants. Food in pubs is a side-line only. The expected increase in non-smokers attending pubs hasn't materialised and now publicans and chains groups are struggling, and that is only set to get worse over the winter period. These health fascists make me laugh, they force us out of the pubs on the premise that they can't drink in them because of our smoke. When they get their way, they don't then choose to drink in the pubs that they have forced us to vacate but instead now start whinging about having to suffer walking past smokers in the street...if they were in the pubs they forced us out of i wouldn't be a problem. But they're not. They're all sitting at home with their copy of the Guardian and their tofu and chick pea stir-fry plotting how to wipe out drinking alcohol in pubs so they can then declare that drinking establishments in the UK are free from drunken hooligans who might spill their organic smoothy over their soy crisps...

Which Tv Antenna is best with obstacles and multipath for DTV?

Hello, I live about a 3 minute walk from a tall hospital and smoke stack. I'm having problems with digital and og TV reception. My current setup has an unamplified VHF/UHF antenna strapped to the chimney. When installed, the installer had to try about 4 different antennas due to the multipath. This setup is now 7 years old. When split more than once, performance really drops. I have stations that I should receive, that I cannot. They are less than 20 miles away. The antenna is too low, I have several houses, trees and telephone/light poles that are taller. So, I'm getting a 40 ft tower, a brand new high powered antenna, rotor and preamp professionally installed. So my question is, which antenna is best for mostly UHF reception when multipath is an issue due to the hospital? I believe one of the digital stations might move to channel 7, but it is only 15 miles away. The new Winegard 7-69 channel antenna? Thank you.

Celebrating first birthday without daddy & family?

my DH was out of the state for training when my son turned 1. We celebrated his birthday a couple of weeks early so that he could be there for it, but it was just the three of us. We don't really have any good friends in the area, and the nearest family is two hours away and couldn't come. So it was just the three of us. We helped him open presents, gave him a small cake that he loved, we sang to him, and took lots of pictures. He had fun. The first birthday is only as big a deal as you make it. If you want it to be a big shabang, then you're out of luck, but small and simple is nice too.
