Emachines customer service?

Why are they condescending you-know-whats at emachines when you ask customer service questions? I asked about what ram would be compatible with my computer how to install it since I've never done it and the rep got all short and disparaging. It's not the first time. I see that question has been asked alot here so I know it's not a stupid qeustion. As Yosemite Sam would say, Oooooo!!! lol.
